The fire started from the boiler room of the plant and was brought under control by three firefighting units
A fire broke out at the Raozan thermal power plant of Chittagong’s Raozan upazila on Monday night.
The fire started at 7:55pm, confirmed Jasim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Fire Service & Civil Defence.
On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control by 8:40pm.
Jasim Uddin told Dhaka Tribune that the fire started in the boiler room.
"There were no casualties in the incident. The extent of damage could not be immediately ascertained," said Jasim.
