Rowshan Ara Begum died in a road accident in the DRC on Sunday
Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rowshan Ara Begum—who died in a road accident, recently, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)—has been buried at Azimpur graveyard in Dhaka.
A Turkish Airways flight carrying the body landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 5am on Thursday.
AIG (Media) of Police Headquarters Md Sohel Rana Rana confirmed the matter.
Her first namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) was held at Noyatola Jame Mosque in Dhaka’s Moghbazar area around 10am.
Rowshan Ara’s second janaza was held at Moghbazar Jame Mosque around 12pm, and the third rook place at Rajarbagh Police Lines around 1:30pm.
Later, she was laid to rest at the Azimpur graveyard in Dhaka.
Additional IGP Rowshan Ara Begum, ppm, ndc, was killed in a road accident on Sunday, while on a United Nations peacekeeping mission in the DRC.
She was on her way to attend a medal parade of BANFPU, the Bangladesh contingent of formed police unit, when her vehicle collided with a civilian truck.
