Teacher recruitment examinee killed in Rajbari road accident

An examinee of the ongoing Primary Assistant Teacher Recruitment Exam has died in a road accident in Rajbari.

The incident happened near Shahidnagar Government Primary School in Islampur union of Baliakandi upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased is Mou Akhter, 22, wife of Asad Sheikh, hailing from Ghunarghat Padmadi village in Nababpur union of the same upazila.

Father of the deceased, Momin Sheikh, was also injured in the accident and was admitted to Rajbari Sadar Hospital.

The Principal of the Independent Islampur Government Primary School, Md Shahid Islam said: "Mou Akhter—along with her father—were travelling to the examination hall on a motorcycle, when a truck hit them. 

"Mou died on the spot, while her father was injured and admitted to the hospital."

Sub Inspector of Baliakandi police station, Habib said: "The truck has been recovered and we are trying to arrest the driver."
