Update : 07 Jun 2019, 03:35 PM

The Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra maritime ports have been advised to hoist signal number 3 – as a deep convection is taking place over North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country.

“A deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. The maritime ports are advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3,” read a Met Office weather bulletin on Friday, reports BSS.

Additionally, rain or thundershowers–accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind–are likely to occur in many places in the Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions; at a few places in the Dhaka and Sylhet divisions; and at one or two places in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Mymensingh divisions.  Moderately heavy-to-heavy falls are expected in some parts of  the Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release read, adding that Friday’s sunset in Dhaka will be at 6:44pm, and Saturday’s sunrise will be at 5:10am.
