Man dies of heat stroke in Rooppur

A man in his fifties died of heat stroke when he was working as a security guard at green city housing project under the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project in Ishurdi, Pabna on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Hazrat Ali of Natore, who worked under the Mazidsons construction Ltd in the power plant project area, confirmed Ishwardi police station OC Baha Uddin.

According to police, the man fell unconscious when he was working as security guard in front of a 20 storey building. Locals rushed him to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Resident Medical Officer Dr Shafikul Islam of the hospital said he died due to heat stroke.
