Police recovered the throat-slit body, which also bore several sharp weapon wounds, from a jute field in the upazila’s Bania Bahu village on Tuesday morning.
They also identified the deceased as Sohel Rana, the muezzin of Chapali Mosque at Kaliganj upazila. He was from Kotchandpur upazila.
