Graves of late freedom fighters will be designed in the same way, so that people can identify their tombs
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq has said all unnamed roads, bridges and culverts across the country will be named after freedom fighters.
The local government department will provide necessary directives in this regard, he said while addressing the inaugurating the muktijoddha complex in Atghoria upazila in Pabna on Friday, reports UNB.
He said: "Muktijoddha complexes have been built in most of the upazilas of the country and the remaining upazilas will get the complexes as soon the government allocated lands are available."
Additionally, graves of late freedom fighters will be designed in the same way, so that people can identify their tombs.
Among other initiatives, the process of issuing digital identity cards to freedom fighters, among others, have got underway, he added.
Earlier, the minister inaugurated the three-storey Atghoria upazila muktijoddha complex which was built at a cost of Tk1.7 crore.
Presided over by Pabna Deputy Commissioner Kabir Ahmed, freedom fighter and Managing Director of Square Group Anjan Chowdhury Pintu, and Superintendent of Police Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, among others, were present at the program.
