7 killed in road accidents in 5 districts

In Cox's Bazar, two members of a Rohingya family were killed and two of the same family were injured after a brick-laden truck overturned

At least seven people were killed in separate road accidents in five separate districts on Friday.

In Cox's Bazar, two members of a Rohingya family were killed and two of the same family were injured after a brick-laden truck overturned at the B block of the Kutupalong Rohingya Camp-02 in the morning.

The deceased were Sanjida, 32 and her son Md Kaiser, 3, confirmed Ukhiya police station OC Abul Monsur saying the truck might have over turned for carrying excessive load. 

In Thakurgaon, a man named Monirul Islam, 42, was killed when a three-wheeler collided head-on with his motorcycle on the Ranisankail-Baliadangi Highway in the morning.

In Tangail, a pickup truck driver’s assistant, Bappi, 26, was killed on spot and the driver was injured, when the vehicle overturned on the east side of the Bangabandhu Bridge in the morning.

In Brahmanbaria, two people were killed in separate road accidents in the Sadar upazila on early on Friday.

The deceased are Zuhurul Haque, 90, and Nazrul Islam, 32.

Police said a motorbike ran Zuhurul over on the Comilla-Sylhet Highway. The duty-doctor of a local hospital declared him dead after he was brought in.

Nazrul fell off an auto-rickshaw after a CNG-run rickshaw rammed his vehicle and was run over by a truck in the Sultanpur area. 

In Bogra, a man named Sadek Ali, 65, was killed after a truck ran over him on the second bypass Highway in the Shajahanpur upazila early on Friday.
