Police have seized the bus and are trying to arrest the driver
Three people have been killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw in Sherpur.
The incident occurred at Citholia in Nakla upazila of the district around 7pm on Sunday.
The identities of the victims are yet to be known.
Police and local sources said five people were severely injured and one died on the spot when a Sherpur-bound bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Citholia.
Later, locals took the injured to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH). Two more died on the way.
Three of the injured are being treated at MMCH, police said.
Md Aminul Islam, assistant superintendent of Sherpur Sadar circle police, said police have seized the bus and are trying to arrest the driver.
