One woman dies of dengue in Jessore

A woman has died of dengue in Jessore.

The deceased is identified a Sagarika Ghosh, 28.

Jessore General Hospital In-charge doctor, Abul Kalam Azad Litu, confirmed the incident to Dhaka Tribune.

Azad said Sagarika was admitted to Jessore General Hospital at 9am on October 11. She died on Saturday during treatment. 

Local journalist and resident of Keshabpur, Uppal De, said he had spoken to relatives of the deceased. Sagrika and her daughter, Swastika, both fell ill a week ago.

At first, they were admitted to the local health complex. Sagarika was later admitted to Jessore General Hospital. Sagarika died Saturday, their relatives confirmed. 

Sagarika’s funeral was completed at 7:30pm on Saturday. Sagarika’s daughter is currently at Keshabpur Health Complex. She will be taken to Khulna, as soon as possible, her relatives
