Police has arrested a 55-year-old man for allegedly raping four children in Dhamrai's Arambagh area.
The suspect, Afsar Uddin, was arrested during a drive on Sunday.
Dhamrai police station Officer-in-Charge Dipak Chandra Saha confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
According to police, on Friday, the four kids, aged between five to seven, were playing near the suspect's house when he lured the victims with chocolate and took them to his house and allegedly raped them.
When the locals heard the desperate cries of the kids, they approached the suspects house but Afsar somehow managed to flee the scene.
Then the police, after receiving information regarding the incident, brought the victims to the police station where their families filed a written complaint.
Saha said: "Afsar has been sent to the court on Monday. We will plea to the court for a seven-day remand of the suspect.
"The victims have been sent to the One-stop Crisis Centre of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH)."
