Rohingya youth hacked in Cox's Bazar

Md. Abul Monsur, Officer-in-Charge of Ukhiya police station confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune

A Rohingya youth had been butchered at the Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar, around 10am on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Mohammad Yunus, 25, was the son of Ali Johor from Kutupalong Lombashia camp 1.

Md. Abul Monsur, Officer-in-Charge of Ukhiya police station confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune, stating that ''Yunus had a woman related enmity with Faysal, son of Najir Hossain from the Kutupalong Lombashia camp. On Monday morning, Faysal entered his house and tried to escape after killing Yunus, but was caught by the locals who handed him over to the police.''

Police sent the body to Cox's Bazar Sadar hospital for autopsy, and a case was filed with the police station, the Officer-in-Charge added.
