Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two yaba dealers from Madanpur bus stand area in Narayanganj on Friday.
The detained Md Sagor Ahmed, 30, a bus driver’s assistant and Md Jewel, 29, his accomplice, were apprehended from a Dhaka-bound bus from Cox's Bazar with 9,500 yaba pills in their possession.
RAB 11 Additional Superintendent of Police Md Jashim Uddin Chowdhury said: "Sagor, while working as a bus driver’s assistant, used to smuggle yaba pills to Dhaka and Narayanganj from Cox's Bazar.
“During a preliminary interrogation, the duo confessed of being involved in drug dealing."
The detained will soon be handed over to the police and a case will be filed in this connection, he added.
