Lowest temperature recorded at 6.2˚C in Tetulia

This year’s lowest temperature has been recorded at 6.2 degrees Celsius in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh district.

The temperature was recorded on Wednesday morning, Bangladesh Meteorological Department's Tetulia branch acting in-charge Rahidul Islam Rohid said.

Severe cold weather continues to intensify in Panchagarh, making everyday life difficult for its people and putting those in poor communities in distress and suffering.

To ward off the cold, people are burning hay and straw and wrapping their cattle in sacks or old clothes.

Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Md Sirajuddaula Polin said: “Even though the number of patients is increasing in the outdoors, not many are getting admitted to the hospital.”
