One fisherman died and 10 others are still missing after a fishing trawler sank in the Bay of Bengal.

The identity of the deceased was not confirmed immediately.
Bangladesh Coast Guard(East Zone) Staff Officer (Operations) Lt Commander Md Saiful Islam, said: " The FV Rangachokka sunk with 23 fishermen on board in the deep sea at around 7:30am.
"We recovered the dead body of one fisherman and rescued 12 while 10 others are still missing." he added
He further stated that coast guards and navy are jointly conducting search operations for the missing people. Bangladesh Navy ship Oporajeyo is heading towards the scene.
