Police have rescued a newborn baby girl from a dustbin in Chittagong.
The newborn was rescued from Bayazid Bostami area Sunday morning, reports UNB.
Priton Sarker, officer-in-charge of Bayazid Bostami police station confirmed the matter.
He said locals spotted the newborn in a dustbin and informed police.
Later, police rescued the newborn and sent her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
After examining the baby, doctors at the hospital said she was doing well, the OC said, adding that the baby is now under the supervision of Social Services office.
