Man detained over rape in Narayanganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a man, accused of the rape of a girl and filming the incident on a mobile phone, from Mizmizi para area of Siddhirganj upazila in Narayanganj on Tuesday.

The detainee, Kausar Hossain, 25 lives in the area, according to Md Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of RAB-11.

"Kausar lured the girl into an affair with him on false promises of marriage. On January 23, the accused took the girl to his aunt's house in Mizmizi para area of Siddhirganj upazila and raped her there. He also filmed the incident on his mobile phone.," said Jashim Uddin

He further stated during primary interrogation, Kausar had confessed to raping the girl and filming the incident on his mobile.
