After the horrible incident, the girl came home and upon informing her mother, the family members of the rape-survivor and the prime suspect Sultan were caught in an altercation, during which Sultan got injured.

Family of the 14-year-old girl alleged, Sultan's family bribed the local arbiters to cover-up the incident, and they pressured them not to inform the police.

"Neither the local arbiters nor the family filed any complaint. Being informed by local journalists, police rescued the child and filed a case against Sultan," said Kamarkhanda police OC Habibul Islam.

"We arrested and sent the accused Sultan to jail after producing him before the court on Wednesday," added the OC.
