Man with coronavirus symptoms dies in Faridpur

A man with coronavirus symptoms from Mohammadpur upazila of Magura district has died while undergoing treatment at Faridpur Medical College Hospital. 

The 48 year old, suffering from fever and respiratory problems, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night and died early Friday. 

"The man had stayed in isolation in Mohammadpur upazila." Magura District Civil surgeon Pradeep Kumar Saha said. "We have sent samples to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) for tests."

However, following the death, families around the deceased's home have been put on lockdown, said Mohammadpur upazila UNO Mizanur Rahman.
