Faridpur panel mayor fined for irregularity over relief distribution

A mobile court on Wednesday fined a panel mayor of Faridpur municipality for his irregularities during relief distribution among the local underprivileged people.

Mirza Jakir Hossain, the panel mayor and ward councillor of Faridpur Municipality, was fined Tk10,000, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Masim Reza, reports UNB.

Meanwhile, the licenses of three dealers were cancelled in Ghoshpur of Boalmari upazila for irregularities while preparing the list of marginalized people for government's food friendly program.
