The father died an hour after the son Rimon, died from coronavirus like symptoms
A sixty-year-old man and his son have died within an hour of each other in Sardarpara area of Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.
The incident took place on Monday morning.
Hajji Aiyar Hossain, president of Sardarpara Mosque Committee, was a heart patient and suffered a fatal cardiac arrest when he learnt about his son, Rimon Saud’s, 24, sudden death, locals say.
Rimon, however, was suffering from fever, cough, breathing difficulties and other Covid-19 like symptoms for a week and died while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday around 6am.
Learning about his death, the father suffered a heart attack and died at the same hospital around 7am, family sources say.
“As Rimon was suffering from Covid-19 like symptoms, we are going to maintain all protocols and bury them both in the local graveyard,” said Muhammad Sadril , ward councillor of the area.
