Update : 15 May 2020, 06:22 PM

Police recovered the body of a madrasa student from a mango orchard in Ghoramara village in Shibganj upazila on Friday morning four days after he went missing.

The deceased, identified as Nazim Uddin, 15, a student of Labhanga Madrasa, was the son of Safiqul Islam from the village, said Shamsul Alom Shah, officer-in-charge of Shibganj police station.

Shamsul said Nazim went missing on May 11 while he went out of his home to attend Tarabi prayers.

His father Safiqul filed a General Diary with Shibganj police station on May 13 after the deceased's family members failed to find his whereabouts, said Shamsul.

Meanwhile, police conducted search operations and failed. However, on Friday, locals discovered the body of Nazim, buried at a mango orchard in Ghoramara and informed the police.

"We suspect Nazim was murdered in a planned way.  Police are trying to find out those responsible for the killing." added the OC.
