Police have arrested two accused in the five-year-old murder cases filed over the killing of two students of Hajee Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU).
The arrestees were identified as Abu Ibne Rojjob, 38, district unit president of Swechasebak League and Sabbir Ahmmed Sujon, 34, former general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Dinajpur Government College unit.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sujon Sarkar confirmed the matter through a press briefing around 6pm on Thursday.
The case is currently under the jurisdiction of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), he added.

On April 19, Milton’s uncle filed a murder case with Dinajpur Sadar police station accusing 41, in which the then VC Ruhul Amin was made prime accused. On the other hand, Zakaria’s father filed a murder case with the same police station accusing 37, including Biswajit Ghosh Kanchan, general secretary of Dinajpur Sadar upazila unit Awami League.
