PBI arrests youths over RMG worker’s murder

The arrestees confessed to their crimes before the court on Monday

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have arrested two youths over the murder of a readymade garment worker in Kashimpur, Gazipur.

The arrestees, Raju, 23, and Momin, 27, were arrested from Kanpur area of Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha on Monday night around 8pm, confirmed PBI Inspector Hafizur Rahman.

In a statement, police said, the youths were friends of the deceased RMG worker Md Ashequl Haque Sharif, and they killed him on July 21 at his house. 

After the murder they also looted his valuables, which were found in their possession.

"Acting on the case filed on July 22, we arrested the youths. They confessed to their crimes before the court.

“In custody they revealed important details about the murder, which will be revealed later," said Inspector Hafizur.
