The bodies were handed over to their families at their request
Three people were killed and three others injured as a bus collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Kakoirtola area of the Chandpur-Comilla Highway in Shahrasti upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Monir Hossain, 24, and Gunodhar Chakraborty, 70, and Haripad Chakraborty, 50.
Officer-in-Charge of Shahrasti Police Station Shah Alam said the accident occurred at 1pm when the Chandpur-bound bus of Padma Paribahan collided with the Comilla-bound auto-rickshaw, killing three people on the spot.
The bodies were handed over to their families at their request, the OC said.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital, he added.
