No progress has been made despite multiple arrests and remand of suspects in the case over the attack on Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Wahida Khanam and her father freedom fighter Omor Ali.

In the latest development, police have detained and are questioning Awami League’s Palsha union unit President Mainul Islam and Wahida’s house help Jabeda, gardener Sultan, sweeper Arshola and driver Yasin.

Three other accused are also being questioned by Detective Branch (DB) of police.
