When challenged by the law enforcers, the passenger informed officials that he had two gold bars with him
Authorities of Shah Amanat International Airport of Chittagong on Wednesday arrested a man with three gold bars.
The arrestee was identified as Abdul Quader, a returnee from Dubai and a resident of Kotwali police station area.
Khairul Kabir, assistant manager of Chittagong Airport, said Quader arrived at the airport in the morning from Dubai on a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG 148).
The passenger informed officials that he had two gold bars with him.
After completing all processes when he was crossing 3 no gate of terminal-3, the officials challenged him.
Later, they recovered another bar which was hidden inside his mobile phone.
