The bank manager allegedly harassed a client in her own home, according to the case statement
Police have arrested a bank official for allegedly sexually harassing a client of his bank in Tetulia upazila, Panchagarh.
The arrestee was identified as Rafikul Islam, manager of Grameen Bank, Tetulia branch.
The 30-year-old woman is a regular client of the bank and Rafikul allegedly asked her to find a rented home for him in her locality as a favour, police sources said.
On Monday evening, Rafikul visited her house and, finding her alone, sexually assaulted her, the case statement says.
Hearing her screams, her husband along with some locals rushed to spot, caught him on the act and later handed him over to police, Johurul Islam, officer-in-charge of Tetulia Model police station., said
He said: “After the case was filed on Monday, we arrested him and sent him to jail through the court the next day.”
