Cox's Bazar SP Masud transferred to Rajshahi

Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police (SP) ABM Masud Hossain has been transferred to Rajshahi.

A notification in this regard, signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, deputy secretary of the Home Ministry, was issued on Wednesday. 

According to the notification, SP Md Hasanuzzaman of Jhenaidah has been appointed the new SP of Cox's Bazar.

SP ABM Masud Hossain came into discussion when a leaked phone conversation between OC Pradeep and him went viral on social media after the killing of retired Army Major Sinha Md Rashed Khan on the night of July 31.

In the same order, six police officials including Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner were transferred.

Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Khandaker Lutful Kabir has been transferred to Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Special Branch (SB) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Masudur Rahman Vuiya transferred as Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Muntasirul Islam transferred to Jhenaidah as SP, and Rajshahi Police Superintendent Md Shahidullah was transferred as Deputy Commissioner of DMP.
