The girl was abducted by two men and taken to a school shed of Brac and raped
A 13-year-old girl has been abducted and gang-raped reportedly by two people in Kashimpur, Gazipur.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon and a case has been filed by the rape survivor’s mother with Kashimpur police station on Thursday morning.
Rafikul Islam, inspector of the police station confirmed the matter.
The accused are, Samrat Hossain Shanto, 20, son of Nazrul Islam Liton of Sadar upazila, and Shakil Ahmed, son of Aleem Hossain of Bhabanipur area of Naogaon.
They were both living together in a rented house in Tetuibari area of Gazipur, and are now are on the run, police sources confirmed.
The teenager girl was searching for a toddler, the child of one of her neighbours, in the Tetuibari locality when Shanto started to stalk her. Sensing his presence, the teenager tried to run away from him.
However, the men were able to confine her and later forcefully took her to a nearby school shed of Brac. Later tying her up, they raped her taking turns, the case statement says.
“We are investigating the incident and making drives to arrest the perpetrators behind the brutal rape,” said Rafikul Islam, inspector of Kahimpur police station.
