Police recovered the hanging body of a female student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science & Technology University (BSMRSTU) from a room in the Sabujbagh area of Sadar upazila in Gopalganj, early Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Monisha Hira, 22, was a fourth-year student of the Department of Management Studies, said Gopalganj Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge, Md Monirul Islam.
She was sent to hospital for autopsy, the OC added.
Seeking anonymity, some teachers of the Department of Management Studies, said Monisha might have committed suicide out of frustration. She had been living a solitary life for six months and was supposed to be getting married on November 2.
