The authorities at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) have suspended a student on allegation of defaming the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The decision was taken following a meeting of the university's disciplinary board on Wednesday night, stated a press release signed by the assistant director Iftekhar Hossain of NSTU Information and Public Relations office.

According to the press release, Foez defamed the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by displaying a photo of another man at the mural of Bangabandhu, set up in front of the university’s administrative building.
He also tarnished the reputation of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) by writing derogatory words about the Bangabandhu on social media.
