Three people fell off the trawler, two of them managed to swim ashore but Sohel went missing, said a police officer
A teenager went missing in the Dhanu River on Wednesday evening after a collision between a trawler and a goods-laden boat in Netrakona.
The missing, 16-year-old, Sohel Mia is the son of Fazil Mia of Khaliajuri upazila.
Confirmed the matter, Khaliajuri police station Inspector Md Alimur said the boy was returning from Kishoreganj in a trawler when a big goods-laden boat collided into it.
“Three people fell off the trawler. Two of them managed to swim ashore but Sohel went missing.”
Divers are trying to find the missing teen, Alimur said.
