So far the death of 10 people were confirmed
Bodies of a woman and an infant were recovered on Saturday who went missing after the trawler they boarded capsized in the Meghna River in Noakhali on Tuesday.
Ten people have been confirmed dead so far and five children remain missing, said Lieutenant SM Tahsin, commanding officer of the Search and Rescue Team of Hatiya Coast Guard, adding that their drive is still ongoing.
The trawler carrying around 30 to 40 passengers -- most of whom were from a wedding party -- capsized in the river near Hatiya upazila'sKearingchar area around 1:30pm on Tuesday.
Bodies of Niha Begum, 1, and Jakia Begum, 55, were recovered on Saturday.
Other than them, the deceased are: Taslima Begum, 21, Asma Begum, 19, Rahena Begum, 30, Nur Jahan, 65, Lily Akter, 8, Hosne Ara Rupa, 5, and Afrin Akter Lamia, and Md Hasan, 7.
The missing children were identified as Nargis Begum, 4, daughter of Md Kader; Halima, 4, daughter of Rubel Hossain; Lamia Begum, 3, daughter of Mohin Uddin; Alif Uddin, 1, son of Abdur Rahimal; and Amir Hossain, 2, son of Illias Uddin, all from different villages in Hatiya upazila.
