Teenager kidnapped, raped in Narayanganj

An 18-year-old has been reportedly kidnaped on her way home from work and raped in Tarabo area under Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district.

The girl’s father filed a case against two with Rupganj police station on Thursday.

The accused are Rabbi Mia, hailing from Dakshinpara Balurmath area of Tarabo, and his aunt Najma Begum.

According to the case statement, the girl, who worked in an oil mill, was returning home from work on January 12. Rabbi Mia with several of his associates kidnapped her and later raped her in Najma Begum’s house in Keodhala village of the upazila.

On January 13, the girl’s family rescued her from Najma’s house and filed the case after the girl informed the details.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupganj police station Mahmudul Hasan confirmed the matter and said they are working to arrest the accused.
