Five others taken to hospital in critical condition
Three labourers were killed and five others injured on Thursday after a car, locally known as Chander Gari, fell into a ditch in the Wak Chakku Para area in Bandarban’s Thanchi upazila.
One of the deceased was identified as Laal Chin El Baum, 22. As of the writing of this report, the others who died and sustained injuries are yet to be identified.
The incident occurred around 10:30am, according to police.

Thanchi police station Officer-in-Charge Saifuddin Anwar said the dead bodies have been recovered.
“The injured were taken to Bandarban District Hospital; their conditions are critical,” he added.
