At least six people including two construction workers sustained injuries when the roof of an under-construction apparel factory caved in on them on Monday.
According to the Fire Service, the incident happened around 2:40 pm beside an apparel factory owned by Four H Group at Kulgaon-Baluchhara area under Bayezid police station in the city.
The injured were trapped under the rubble. On information, a rescue team of the Fire Service rushed to the spot.
Confirming the matter, Priton Sarker, Officer-in-Charge of Bayezid police station, told the Dhaka Tribune that six people received injuries during the collapse.
“Four people received primary treatment while the two others were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital,” said the OC.
Tanvir Ahmmed, officer of Bayezid Station of Fire Service told the Dhaka Tribune that the roof of an under-construction building had caved in.
“The building was being constructed for an apparel factory. We are investigating the reason behind the collapse,” said the Fire Service official.
