150 gold bars worth about Tk 10 crore were recovered in an abandoned state from a Bangladesh Biman flight at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Monday morning.
Tipped-off, Officials of Chittagong Customs, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate and NSI jointed conducted a drive and recovered the gold bars after searching the flight which left from the UAE.
Wing Commander Farhad Hossain Khan, Manager of Shah Amanat International Airport confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
However, no arrest was made in connection with the gold bar recovery.
