On Tuesday evening, the child was indiscriminately beaten by him at Al Markazul Quran Islamic Academy near Konak Community Centre in Hathazari.

After the video went viral on social media, the child was rescued from the madrasa by local authority.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when his mother went to the madrasa to see the child on his birthday.

As she was leaving, the boy ran after his mother. At this, the teacher grabbed him by the neck, took him into a room and threw him on the floor beating him severely with a cane.

A video taken by a bystander, sparking outrage, quickly spread through social media at night.

UNO Ruhul Amin said: "After learning about the incident, I went to the madrasa with the police at around 12:30am on Wednesday and informed his parents after rescuing the child."

At the same time, Maulana Yahya was ordered to be expelled from Hafezi Madrasa Markazul Islamic Academy.

The child's mother Parveen Akhtar and father Md Joynal told the UNO in a letter that they were shocked and angry at the incident. However, considering the future of the child, initially they requested not to take any legal action against the madrasa teacher.

The child's father, Md Joynal, said they did not want to sue.

However, UNO Ruhul Amin instructed that Yahya should not be appointed as a teacher in any madrasa in Hathazari and requested the child's parents to file a case against the teacher. Accordingly, the child’s father filed a case and Yahya was arrested.
