Police have claimed a suspected criminal has sustained bullet injuries after he attacked the law enforcers during a raid to arrest him in Chandpur.
Two police personnel were also injured in the incident that took place in the Rampur area of Faridganj upazila on Friday afternoon.
Rubel Shah, 30, is an accused in six cases including robbery, police said.
Faridganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Shahid Hossain said the law enforcers conducted a raid at Rampur Bazar around 5:30pm to apprehend Rubel as an arrest warrant was issued against him.

Rubel attacked them with a knife when police opened fire on him in self-defence, he said.
Bullet-injured Rubel was taken to Chandpur General Hospital from where he was referred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Police also recovered 203 yaba tablets from his possession, the OC said.
Two Assistant Sub-Inspectors -- Md Jamshed and Shafiq Mia -- were admitted to Faridganj Upazila Health Complex, he added.
