Police on Sunday arrested two men under Digital Security Act (DSA) in Bandarban over their posts on Facebook.
The arrested were Oli Ahmed, 26, and Hamidur Rahman, 27, of Naikhongchhari upazila, said Mohammed Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Naikhongchhari police station.
Oli Ahmed was arrested around 2am while Hamidur Rahman was arrested around 9am, said the OC.
Both are accused of spreading anti-state propaganda on social media and making defamatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi, added the OC.
The OC also claimed Hamidur is a supporter of Hefajat-e-Islam and Oli is a Shibir activist.
