Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have arrested five people including two women from Maheshpur border area in Jhenaidah.

58 BGB Deputy Director Md Nazrul Islam Khan said that they conducted the drives on information that some people had been trying to enter Bangladesh illegally.
Of the five people, Mukti Rani Biswas, 30, of Lohagara upazila in Narail, was arrested at Baghadanga border on Saturday night.
The four others – Prince Sheikh, 21, Munna Molla, 18, and Rakib Sheikh, 16, of Kalia upazila, and Asma Begum, 40, of Noagram upazila – were arrested from Shyamkur border area yesterday morning, according to the BGB official.
