Smuggler held with gold, yaba, cash

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion have arrested a wanted yaba smuggler from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.

Nurul Alam is wanted in a case filed for peddling yaba tablets, RAB says.

A team of RAB-15 arrested him during a drive in Sabarong Dakkhin Para area of Teknaf around 9:30pm on Tuesday night and found 57 Bhori gold, 32,000 yaba tablets and Tk4.5 lakh cash from his possession. 

During a press briefing at its office, RAB-15 chief Wing Commander Azim Ahmed said that Nurul Islam was a member of a smuggling ring. 

A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act with Teknaf model police station.
