Total 508 patients undergoing treatment at the hospital’s coronavirus unit
Fourteen more deaths were recorded at the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.
Of those deceased, five had tested positive for Covid-19, and nine had symptoms but had not been tested or did not have their test results.
Among them, four were from Natore, three from Rajshahi, two each from Chapainawabganj, Naogaon and Kushtia and one from Pabna district.
They all were aged between 31 and 65, RMCH Director Shamim Yazdani told Dhaka Tribune.
Yazdani said the hospital had counted a record number of 25 fatalities caused by Covid-19 on June 29 last since the pandemic began.
With the latest development, the overall death tally of Covid-19 patients at RMCH since July 1 now stands at 329 while 405 others died in June.
Sixty-four people were also admitted to the hospital’s Covid-19 unit in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, added the director.
Total 56 went home after recovering from the infectious disease during the same period.
Some 508 people are undergoing treatment at the hospital’s 454-bed Covid-19.
