The deadly virus has so far claimed 576 lives in the division
Barisal Division logged 14 more Covid-19-related deaths and 377 new cases in the past 24 hours till Thursday morning.
Of the deceased, seven tested positive for the deadly virus while the other had symptoms, according to health officials.
Of the seven confirmed Covid-19 patients who died, four were from Barguna district, two from Pirojpur, and one was from Barisal district.
With the latest tallies, the division’s death toll now stands at 576 and the total caseload at 40,119, said Dr Basudeb Kumar Das, divisional director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Barisal, on Thursday.
Of the 377 new cases, 126 were reported in Barisal district, 58 in Patuakhali, 118 in Bhola, 32 in Pirojpur, 27 in Barguna, and 16 in Jhalakathi.
At least 395 people were reported to have made full recovery from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries in the division to 22,829.
