Missing Chinese man found dead in Chittagong

A Chinese man, who worked for an  under-construction power plant, has been found dead near the sea in Chittagong Banshkahli upazila, officials said.

Thirty-four-year-old G Quinzen’s body was found at the seashore near the power plant at the upazila’s Gandamra on Thursday morning, after he went missing the previous day, said local administration chief (UNO) Saiduzzaman Chowdhury.

“The coast guard launched a search last night after he went missing, but failed to trace him,” he told Dhaka Tribune.

The local police filed a case of unnatural death over the matter, said Banshkali police OC Shafiul Kabir.

The body has been sent to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy, said the police officer.
