Police have already arrested two suspects over the incident
A man was killed and two others were injured in a clash in Satkhira.
The incident occurred in the district’s Kashiadanga village under Kalaroa upazila on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Abdul Mannan, 38, was a father of two.
Police have already arrested two suspects over the murder, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalaroa police station Mir Khairul Kabir told Dhaka Tribune.
The arrestees are: Abu Hanif, 23, and his father Mojibur Rahman, 50.
According to police and locals, Mannan locked into an altercation with Hanif while distributing food following a milad mahfil on Sunday.
At one point of the fight, Hanif stabbed Mannan on his stomach with a straight razor.
Locals rescued Mannan and rushed him to the Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex in Jessore where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Meanwhile, Litunjera, daughter of the deceased, has demanded exemplary punishment of those responsible for the murder.
“My father was killed with a straight razor. I demand punishment of those who killed my father,” a devastated Litunjera pleaded to the authorities concerned.
