Four people detained for questioning as allegations say the man was torched
Police recovered the burnt body of a man in Jessore's Sharsha upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Monirul Islam, 35, son of Abul Hossain of Monirampur upazila of the district. He was a transport worker, reports Bangla Tribune.
Locals said they heard a scream from the house owned by one Sirajul Islam in the morning and rushed there. They noticed a fire inside the house and tried to put it out.
At one point, they saw a man trapped under a burning motorcycle.The locals then informed the police.

Police later sent the body to Jessore General Hospital morgue.
One of the tenants of the house, Saidur Rahman, has been missing since the night before.
He used to live with his wife and children on the ground floor of Sirajul Islam's house.
Sharsha police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Badrul Alam Khan said they had taken four people, including the landlord and Saidur’s wife, into custody for questioning.
