Police and Fire Service jointly rescued the injured
At least four people including two women were killed after a bus fell into a ditch on the Magura-Jessore road on Sunday.
The accident took place in Ramkantapur area of Shalikha upazila around 3:30pm. The deceased, however, have not been identified.
At least 15 people were also injured in the incident, and were taken to Magura Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Mashudur Rahman of Magura Fire Service said the passenger bus left Jessore at noon for Magura. On the way, it lost control and fell into a ditch.
The firefighters used a crane to pull out the bus from the water. Four bodies were recovered from inside the vehicle, he added.
Officer-in-Charge Mahbubur Rahman of Shalikha police station said the fire service department and police conducted a joint operation and rescued the victims.
