News was earlier published that BSF removed installations upon BGB’s protest
The Indian authorities have made a clarification regarding a news item on the construction of a facility at Ghojadanga in India, opposite the border at Bhomra in Satkhira.
The Indian High Commission statement issued on Monday noted that several national and regional dailies of Bangladesh had published news reports, headed “BSF removes installations against BGB’s protest”, on September 11 and 12.
The reports claimed that the construction of a BSF facility had been stopped by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Ghojadanga in India.

However, the Indian High Commission stated that BSF was not building any installations in that area. The High Commission stated that a sports store room of the local panchayat was being built near zero point.
“The BSF allowed it since it is a public construction facility. However, upon BGB’s objection, the facility was moved to the other side of the field,” read the statement of the Indian High Commission.
